NIGHT MANAGER

Do yourself a favor if you haven't already seen this show, and go watch it. It's on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Vudu, along with a couple other places to buy it, and is only 6 episodes. It is the best 6 hours you can spend, because when I tell you this show is genius, I mean it. The acting is off the charts, the characters are compelling, and the story is interesting as fuck. Who doesn't want to watch Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie go head to head? No one, and if you haven't seen it, you're missing out. I have rewatched it like 5 times.

The thing that really makes the series is the dynamic between Jonathan and Roper, which is sheer perfection. I was already predisposed to like it since I like both actors, but still my breath was taken away by it. By the levels and the secrecy and betrayal and genuine affection and respect buried amongst it all. Jonathan is with Roper to avenge someone he loved, but still he found himself falling for Roper's charms, at least a little bit. He might've hated himself for it, but it went both ways!! Roper saying "It's a rare thing, Jonathan Pine, for me to trust a person. But you were special. Knew it the first time I saw you" ripped my heart out because of how much he means it. Roper doesn't trust people, but Jonathan slid right in like he was a missing puzzle piece finally returning. Roper wanted to give everything to Jonathan, wanted him to be a goddamn emperor of Rome with him, even gave Jonathan a chance to join him for real when he knew Jonathan was betraying him!!

And nothing, nothing, will ever compare to the moment when Jonathan blew all of Roper's shit up, thoroughly destroying his empire and costing him billions of dollars, and Roper looked at him and smiled and said "Oh, you beauty." I'm sorry but, like, how can anyone stay sane after seeing that??? Jonathan destroyed everything and Roper just thought he was spectacular!!!! Even winks at him later when they're taking him away!!

PERCY JACKSON

Kronos Army Demigods & Luke Castellan (All Hurt)

I will never stop being in love with all the demigods who joined up with Kronos' side, and wishing we got so much more about them. It's implied that there's a lot more than just the ones we met, and even for the ones we met I wanted all their stories! How did they get recruited? How many of them went to Camp Half-Blood VS never did? What were their relationships like with each other, and especially with Luke? Luke fully believed he was getting justice for demigods, and wanted Annabeth to join him so desperately—so how was he around the demigods who did join him? From high-up ones like Ethan to the unnamed foot soldiers, any of it would be awesome to see. I mean, they never even really touch on the fact that Chris Rodriguez is Luke's brother, and joined him!! Can you imagine the deep bonds that formed between all the demigods on this side of the battle? What did they go through, together or for each other? What would happen if they wanted to defect? I am just feral for all these people and I want more of them so badly.

I will never not love a teen getting manipulated by a powerful adult, and that was used to the max when it comes to Kronos, I can't fucking get enough. Kronos was 100% successful too, using Luke's hurt and bitterness and anger to turn him against the gods and his fellow demigods. He made Luke feel important and powerful, like he could truly change things and protect all demigods, got his loyalty and then used it to the farthest reaches. I'd love anything exploring that time period, what Luke felt, what Kronos might've done to him, since he could've done anything, maybe even what came after (if Luke were to survive). Also during the course of the books, there's so much we didn't get to see since it's Percy's POV, and I'd also love to see some of the shit Luke was getting up to/going through, especially when he started to realize how much he was being used. CROSSOVER FANDOM

Hans (Frozen) & Varian (Tangled) (Hurt Varian)

My obsession with the Tangled TV show (and, specifically, Varian's dynamic with Andrew in it) led me to the big-brained idea of mashing Varian up with Hans. Hans is an expert manipulator and a cold sociopath, adept at finding people's weak spots and using them to his advantage so thoroughly no one would ever know he was a threat until he told them. And I think he would have a field day with Varian, someone who is so desperate to be believed and cared for, and with a massive intellect that frankly Hans could use to do a lot XD And as long as he kept telling Varian how important he is, how much Hans cares, how Hans is going to help Varian get everything he wants in the world, well, we've already seen the lengths Varian will go to when someone like that is whispering in his ear. And I think it's Hans' turn to have some fun with the kid XD Or!! Maybe we know Hans is already a bad guy, and Varian's got to go toe to toe with the man who almost took over Arendelle. Anything with these two would be such a pleasure.

TANGLED SHOW

Ok so I only recently discovered this show and decided to check it out because I love Jeremy Jordan, and then I became instantly obsessed with Varian. This kid is smart as hell, naïve in so many ways, and has a fucking badass (and 10000% understandable) villain arc, complete with anxiety-filled redemption! I love all his bitterness and rage, and the way he turned his intelligence into a weapon that brought Corona to its knees. And I fucking love all the terrible shit that then happened to him XD I mean, at just 14 the kid was canonically thrown in with adult prisoners and locked in jail, and who fucking knows what kind of shit he went through during that time! (My dark imagination has many ideas.) And then you introduce his dynamic with Andrew, so manipulative and obviously terrible, and I couldn't help but picture all the shit Andrew could've gotten away with considering how fucking desperate Varian was to have people care about him and support him. So yea really pick your poison and run with it—terrible things done to Varian by the prison guards and/or the king himself (honestly, Frederick had BIG villain energy), or terrible things done to him by people pretending to be his allies? Or maybe Varian FINALLY gets some support and comfort he's due, in the form of Rapunzel actually helping or maybe the Brotherhood coming into play for their nephew—we were so robbed of Varian having a relationship with Hector or Adira! Honestly I will be FUCKING THRILLED no matter what, I just want some Varian angst on my plate XD
