NIGHTWING COMICS

Sophia Tevis

Cannot recommend highly enough checking out this tumblr post which runs through the appearances of Tommy & Sophia & the Tevis family in general. The post mainly focuses on Dick's interactions with the family but considering they only ever appear in these issues with him I still feel it's a pretty solid run down of them XD I absolutely adore the kind of person Tommy was, his gentle soul even in a dark profession. And Sophia was such a sweet kid who had to grow up far too fast but truly came into her own once given the power that used to be her dad's. I'm so bummed these two never got brought back because I would've ate that shit up!

Dorian Chase

Once again I have a tumblr post for you, because my hyperfixations were strong and I tend to ramble XD Again, this post mainly centers on Dorian's connection to Dick, because that's where he got introduced and spent a lot of time. I find Dorian so interesting—he's really not a good person, happy to kill and endanger whoever suits him and has even taken innocent lives because he wanted to (stuff that gets revealed in his brief solo series), but he also isn't really a bad guy either. He's manipulative and ruthless and doesn't mind getting his hands dirty, but he has a mission and his own set of rules and I find morally fucked (but not terrible) character like that just Super Neat.

For the third and final time, I present to you another tumblr post on the rare character(s) in question! I am a fucking sucker for good guys getting manipulated by bad guys, which is what made me absolutely adore everything involving Eddie and Liu. Two master manipulators who ran a fucking cult (and I mean that genuinely—all the shit they pulled with their group of teenage followers was absolutely a cult) and had Dick wrapped around their fingers, so much so that even years later they were able to manipulate him. The post mainly focuses on Liu, but Eddie deserves so much attention to for everything he did, and I would love to see him and/or Liu some more, with all that tasty angst it entails.
