CROSSOVER FANDOM

Jason Todd (DC Comics)/Ben Reilly (Marvel 616)

Ben Reilly is my absolute favorite Marvel character, and he and Jason have so much in common. Both the second to hold a superhero mantle, ripe with insecurities and false cockiness, both brutally murdered and then brought back to life by people up to no good, had their minds fucked with by forces outside of their control, and then returned back to their home cities with a violent plan to prevent the kind of tragedy they were forced to go through. (If you want, I can and will lay out exactly how their paths diverged there, what their distinct fears meant for the way it all played out, how they mirror each other and are kind of the "road not taken" for paths they could've gone down—send me an ask on tumblr and I will rant for you for AGES 😁) They are both snarky and sharp and fiercely loyal, and have fucking awesome dynamics with their villains. I just think these two should meet, it would be awesome!

Malcolm Bright (Prodigal Son)/Michael Scofield (Prison Break)

I feel like this is my most random crossover tag, but it's also very exciting? As stated before I seriously love Malcolm, and Michael Scofield is one of my all-time favorite characters, so this is a special little id crossover that would bring me so much joy. Malcolm has a tendency to think outside the box and see things that other people miss, and I think he would become attached to Michael fast. Frankly a bond between them (whether pre- or during Prison Break) would make so much sense, with the kind of people they are, with all their issues. Imagine them being old friends, or Malcolm being assigned to hunt Michael down after his escape. Or, idk, anything! I don't expect anyone to have an interest in this relationship but I'm still invested!

Julia Wicker (Magicians TV)/Sam Winchester (SPN)

A friend pointed out to me the similarities between Julia & Sam's arcs (the belief that they're doing something good and it goes so wrong, the addiction issues, the abuse from a god/archangel, the rise in power level, could go on and on!), and ever since then I've been obsessed with the idea of them crossing over. Whether that's Sam in the Magicians world or Julia in SPN, or some mixing of the two, I just desperately want them interacting. They're both brilliant and troubled and do some fucked up shit, get betrayed a thousand times over, end up being uber powerful and going up against impossible odds with so many people counting on them—any interaction would be awesome!

Quentin Coldwater (Magicians TV)/Sam Winchester (SPN)

The Magicians and Supernatural are two of my absolute favorite shows so of course I am in desperate need of a crossover between the two. Sam is my main man, and I think he'd have such a cool dynamic with the folks over at Brakebills! Margo & Eliot would instantly adopt him just like they did Quentin (high-strung super nerd who happens to be a badass, anyone?), and I think Sam & Quentin actually have a lot in common—both of them are so damaged and put their lives beneath those of everyone around them, but also so filled with hope and a desire to help the world, to see the best even in the midst of so much darkness. Sam would listen to Quentin when no one else did, and Quentin would be Sam's first defender against anyone who called him an abomination. They'd make a really great pair.

Hans (Frozen)/Varian (Tangled)

My obsession with the Tangled TV show (and, specifically, Varian's dynamic with Andrew in it) led me to the big-brained idea of mashing Varian up with Hans. Hans is an expert manipulator and a cold sociopath, adept at finding people's weak spots and using them to his advantage so thoroughly no one would ever know he was a threat until he told them. And I think he would have a field day with Varian, someone who is so desperate to be believed and cared for, and with a massive intellect that frankly Hans could use to do a lot XD And as long as he kept telling Varian how important he is, how much Hans cares, how Hans is going to help Varian get everything he wants in the world, well, we've already seen the lengths Varian will go to when someone like that is whispering in his ear. And I think it's Hans' turn to have some fun with the kid XD

Luke Castellan (PJO)/Loki (MCU)

Trickster god meets trickster, what could go wrong? XD I don't have a lot of specific ideas for this, I just think it would be a blast. Luke and Loki are both extremely damaged people who turned that damage outward and did a lot of truly shitty stuff, but still bleed a need to be understood and loved (how Loki kept wishing Thor would understand, how Luke kept wishing Annabeth would understand). They are brilliant tacticians, prone to rage, allied themselves with powerful beings who couldn't have given less of a shit about them, tried to escape everything they'd done, end up doing the right thing in the end (and dying for it). There are a lot of similarities here and I wanna see the crossover!

PERCY JACKSON

Luke Castellan/Ethan Nakamura

Two boys who defected from Camp Half-Blood, fought for Kronos, were filled with so much rage and bitterness, and made the decision in the end to turn against Kronos and save everyone. They are both such absolutely compelling, interesting characters to me, and I'd love to see more of them! Whether that's in the height of the villain era with them being powerful and evil, or when Luke's mental state is devolving, or maybe some angst with Ethan interacting with Kronos!Luke, or maybe an AU where they both survive/come back, or maybe pre-canon them at Camp Half-Blood, or, or, or...I really am open to so much for them, I just really love these two boyos and would love to see them together!

Silena Beauregard/Luke Castellan

Everything about Silena's story is so fucking sad, and thus I want to see all the nitty gritty details XD Silena and Luke were really good friends, she even had a crush on him, and he manipulated her into being his spy when he had to leave Camp. How did that go down? What was it like for Silena, spending years feeding info to Luke? How much did they talk over that time? When did Silena's opinion of Luke's mission start to change? Did Luke ever have regrets of using her like that? How much interaction did Silena have with the other demigods to join Kronos, if any? Did she ever speak to Kronos directly, and if so, how did that go, and what did Luke think of it? Did she ever engage with Kronos!Luke? As you can see I have about a million billion questions about these two so really anything would spark joy.

Luke Castellan/Hylla Ramírez-Arellano

This is a rarepair I pulled completely out of my ass and now I've fallen head over heels for it. I was doing research for a fic and saw what Hylla's age was when we meet her in Son of Neptune, and did the math to see that she was about a year younger than Luke, and then my brain started showing how much potential crossover there could've been between their arcs, and how much fun it would be to see it play out. Hylla and Luke are both people who have manipulated others to get what they need, with the intense belief that they were doing the right thing, and both garnered themselves intense reputations. It's also never explained how Hylla already knows about both Greek and Roman demigods. There's just so much to work with! What if they met during Sea of Monsters, both out on the ocean? What if Luke had to treat with the Amazons sometime later, when Hylla had joined up with them? What if it's just a chance encounter? What if they met while on the streets (though for that the timeline needs to be shifted a little lol, not that I'd mind XD)

Ares/Luke Castellan
Luke Castellan/Zeus

I would've killed to see some more interactions between Luke and the gods in the books, and all the better if it's the fucky kind XD I mean, we know that Luke and Ares have had some charged interactions, and that emotion manipulation of Ares' wouldn't exactly be subtle in a person whose fatal flaw is wrath, right? There's So Much Fucking Potential in that regard, and then for Zeus, Luke fucking stole his Master Bolt. If that isn't cause for retribution, idk what is. This really could go so many ways! Maybe the gods are punishing Luke for his actions. Maybe Luke is trying to manipulate them to get something he wants. Maybe this is just some good ol' fashioned god-taking-advantage-of-a-demigod shit. Maybe being abused by a god is the real final straw to turn Luke to Kronos' side. The world is your oyster XD

Atlas/Luke Castellan

Titan's Curse is one of my fav stories in the PJO universe, so obviously I am incredibly curious about everything that's going on outside of Percy's POV! So I don't really have a lot of specific thoughts for this pairing, only urgent (but vague) hand waving towards them 😆 Like, Luke took the fucking sky from Atlas—how the fuck did that go? What was it like after, once Annabeth had taken the sky from Luke? We know Luke and Atlas spent time around each other, and that Luke really wasn't doing well during this period of time (not as bad as he is in BOTL but still, boy was starting to spiral) so...yea, that's all I really got for ya! Fucked upness and angst 😆

Luke Castellan/Kronos

I will never not love a teen getting manipulated by a powerful adult, and that was used to the max when it comes to Kronos, I can't fucking get enough. Kronos was 100% successful too, using Luke's hurt and bitterness and anger to turn him against the gods and his fellow demigods. He made Luke feel important and powerful, like he could truly change things and protect all demigods, got his loyalty and then used it to the farthest reaches. I'd love anything exploring that time period, what Luke felt, what Kronos might've done to him, since he could've done anything, maybe even what came after (if Luke were to survive). Also during the course of the books, there's so much we didn't get to see since it's Percy's POV, and I'd also love to see some of the shit Luke was getting up to/going through, especially when he started to realize how much he was being used. Also there are so, SO many ways for this to be absolutely fucky, with devotion and corruption and loyalty and doubt and fucking literal and figurative possession and just ahhhhhh I love it all. Really, you’re welcome to make this as fucky as you like XD

MARVEL 616

Ben Reilly/Miles Warren

My boy Ben has so many mental health issues from all the shit he's been through, mainly at the hands of his 'father' Miles Warren. Miles quite literally tortured Ben to death over and over and over again simply because it had the possibility of helping him with his research, treating him like nothing more than a science experiment, but still expected Ben to be on his side. Miles used Ben (and Kaine!) so many times and felt like it was his right as their creator. Hell, for Kaine, Kaine even called Miles father and begged for him to keep him! Like hot damn, Warren could've done anything to him.

Plus, when you throw in Miles' obsession with Peter and Gwen, and how that led to him creating the clones in the first place—well lets just say that there were a hell of a lot of implications about what Miles got up to with the clones he made of the people he wished he could have. Kaine might've been an imperfect clone, but Ben and Clone Gwen were perfect mirrors, and there were more than plenty of implications about what Miles did to them...

Mephisto/Ben Reilly

Ben first meets Mephisto in the mini-series Damnation, which is set in the time period of BR:SS I mentioned in Gabriel's section. Mephisto plays on all of Ben's insecurities to manipulate him into making a deal with him (and somewhere in the distance, Peter is screaming), all smooth charm and creepy smiles. And then, when Ben breaks their deal, Mephisto hunts Ben down and does his best to ruin Ben, turning all of Ben's allies against him and even getting Ben's brother Kaine to try to kill him! And when Kaine succeeds in doing so, Mephisto delightedly goes to collect Ben's soul XD So obviously, so much tasty angst here!!

Gabriel/Ben Reilly

The description of Ben & Gabriel's meeting from Gabriel's Wiki Page: "While on the search for the cure of a genetic disease afflicting a young girl named Abigail, Ben was directed to a place called the Diogenes Initiative, run by Gabriel with the mission of helping people. Gabriel approached him and revealed his nature as an Angel. He additionally revealed Ben his true form for a brief moment, causing Ben to break down in tears. After handing over a vial containing his own blood to Ben to cure Abigail, Gabriel teleported him outside the facility, and pondered that they might talk again in the future."

I fucking love this interaction, because Ben is so desperate to help Abigail and so wary to trust anyone, and he's never been a person of faith but seeing Gabriel's true form brought Ben to his knees crying. I can really see this event having an impact on Ben, especially if Gabriel were to follow through on his comment about them meeting again. Plus, at the end of the run, Gabriel observes Ben in the process of losing his mind and basically says that everything went according to plan so isn't THAT truly fucked up and ripe for fanfic.

Maxine Danger/Ben Reilly

The Beyond plotline was one of my all-time favorite things—I mean, what's not to LOVE about manipulation and memory erasing and bad guys controlling good guys? Ben was so desperate to be a hero, so desperate to belong, and Beyond knew exactly how to manipulate that. They played on each of his insecurities and watched his therapy sessions to adjust their approach to solidify their control even further, and then when he got a little too rebellious they just erased his memories to make him docile once more. Like oh my GOD how amazingly whumpy and perfect!! You gotta check out these two scenes to really grasp just how fucked up this all was: One, Two. Look at those and tell me you don't want Maxine & Beyond to utilize their control in even more fucked up ways XD

Otto Octavius/Ben Reilly

These two have such a wild fucking history it nearly blows my mind. They have at different times been allies, enemies, frenemies, two people who outright despise each other, a pair who respect each other deeply, and everything in between. Ben manipulated Otto into working for him at one point, and Otto sacrificed Ben to some interdimensional beings, and Ben gave Otto a chance to be with the one he loves, and Otto helped Ben learn that Beyond was actually manipulating him, and they've tried to kill each other a couple times, and so basically they have a Wild Fucking History and I want more.

Tony Stark/Ben Reilly

Ben's appearance in Tony's 2020 Iron Man run felt so random and yet the fact that that was the point made it delightful. Tony needed help to rescue Rhodey and so put together a team that was the weirdest group of characters currently being unused in comics, and they went off and had space adventures! They called themselves the God Fighters and all the banter and bonding and deep conversations they had really made me love the team, plus it was so nice to see Ben finding his own people that had nothing to do with Peter or Spider-Man. Ben with any member of that team would be super fun, but Tony especially!! Did not get nearly enough of interactions between the pair of them before Ben left to go be Spider-Man.

TEEN WOLF

Nogitsune/Stiles Stilinski

Look, I just seriously fucking loved the Nogitsune plotline more than anything and will never get enough of Void!Stiles. That dude was out to cause as much chaos, strife, and pain as he possibly could, was already getting super freaky with Lydia, and there's not a doubt in my mind that he would've continuing fucking with everyone he could if he'd had the time. Dylan O'Brien KILLED season 3B, playing a villain so well it gave me literal chills and made me a fan for life. I loved Stiles' panic and how thoroughly the Nogitsune twisted his mind around, the back and forth, how the Nogitsune fucking ruined Stiles and nearly killed everyone. I just...fuck, I just loved this plotline. You can really do anything with Void!Stiles and I will be so goddamn happy.

Nogitsune/Theo Raeken

I will never get over Theo saying "I came for Void Stiles" and trying to draw it out of Stiles, that was the coolest fucking twist. And, as someone who love season 3B, I was so fucking here for the idea of Theo being successful and getting Void Stiles back, maybe even the Nogitsune in full. However you want to make this AU work, I am down. I am just in dire need of evil Theo getting an evil Stiles by his side, and what better than the Nogitsune?

Nogitsune/Noshiko Yukimura

All the history between Noshiko and the Nogitsune was so fucking interesting to me. Her conflict and pain and shame around everything surrounding the Nogitsune and what happened to Rhys really added so much richness to the 3B plotline, and I really fucking loved seeing Void!Stiles interact with her. Noshiko looking at what looked like a teenage boy to the rest of the world and telling him that she would not hesitate to kill him was just *chef's kiss*. The Nogitsune was an ancient being and yet had such a connection to Noshiko, took a specific kind of pleasure out of her distress and frustration. And idk I'm just still in love with that fucking scene where the Nogitsune says "We're not afraid of you and your fireflies" like that gave me fucking chills I loved it so goddamn much. And I think they deserved to have more interactions like that! Plus Tamlyn Tomita in general is super badass and hot and deserves more attention.

Stiles Stilinski/Noshiko Yukimura

I really would've loved to see stuff between these two after season 3. Stiles was possessed by a being that Noshiko has a long history with, and a traumatic one at that. I feel like everything with the Nogitsune would've created a unique bond between the pair of them, and it simply would've been cool to see that explored. She would understand like no other what Stiles went through, and Stiles with all the Nogitsune's knowledge would have a perspective on Noshiko that no one else did, and would see her as a really valuable ally instead of just Kira's mom. Plus it would just be damn cool to see an adult on the show taking Stiles completely seriously.

Mare Barrow/Maven Calore

When I saw this in the tagset I got so fucking delighted omfg. I loved this book series so much when I read it and have actually been wanting to get back to it lately, and when I tell you I fucking shipped Mare and Maven from Day One and that feeling only got even bigger when Maven got darker and darker and Mare became stronger and stronger. I just ahhhhhhh I'm sorry I don't have a lot of specific thoughts I just think this would be Fucking Cool. You're welcome to go as dark as you like, or stay more in angsty territory, I will love it all! Canon divergence is my bread and butter, but canon compliant with these two would also be tasty as fuck XD Go with your heart!

RAVEN CYCLE

Joseph Kavinsky/Adam Parrish

This would've been such an awesome pairing. Adam was always so angry, and dealing with his connection to Cabeswater was really fucking him up in the head in TDT right when Kavinsky started coming around. I think Kavinsky wouldn't have been able to resist poking at Adam, and then would absolutely relish any success at making Adam lose it at least a little. A combination between a boy with power he doesn't even understand and the dreamer who is so confident in his abilities he's ready to take on the world, it just would've been a super kickass combination. And much like with Ronan in canon, I think it wouldn't have taken long for Kavinsky to become fixated and feel like he and Adam had to be partners in crime. And whether or not he succeeded, it would've been an awesome ride.

Joseph Kavinsky/Declan Lynch
Richard Gansey III/Joseph Kavinsky

Hot mess and proud of it + upstanding boat shoes wearing boy? Count me in. Kavinsky drove Gansey fucking nuts and they were prime for some hate banging, that's for sure. And like, Declan and/or Gansey would've hated themself for falling for someone like Kavinsky, whether or not it was actually affection or just deep desire. And Kavinsky would've been so smug!! Like imagine Declan trying his best to keep it a secret and Kavinsky taking every opportunity to drop an innuendo or send a dick pick (hey, it's canon that he does shit like that, so why not? XD). And if Gansey was seeing Kavinsky on the side, whether in a sex capacity or something stronger, can you imagine Ronan's reaction if he learned about it?? Anyway, I'm really just so desperate for more of Kavinsky and think all these relationships would be a blast.

IMPOSTERS

Ezra Bloom/Maddie Jonson

I love how Ezra was the first to fully accept that Maddie isn't the same as the person he/they married ("I saw something...but I don't think it was Ava") while Richard and Jules were still falling for it (for good reason, but still!). I love how confident he gets, how sure of himself, and how it creates such a deeper understanding between him and Maddie. The new bond that forms between them as Ezra comes into himself is such a great one—Maddie always held real affection for Ezra, but it became something new when Ezra transformed (and I loved how off-balance she seemed, too, like she could never quite reconcile this new Ezra with the one she knew, but she liked it, you know?). And that bit in season 2 where she's teaching him how to con a woman to love him, and how she understood his pain and knew how to help, and then them falling into bed together...god, I just loved it. If we'd ever gotten a season 3 like we deserved, I would've wanted sooooo much more of Ezra and Maddie interacting with their new dynamic. Frankly I would've loved so much more of everyone with the new Doctor!Ezra XD

This is a dynamic filled with manipulation and angst and Dick being put through the wringer, and has thus been one of my absolute favorite storylines since I read it. That post focuses a bit more on what Liu did, but definitely don't count out the fact that a dude who was basically a cult leader got his claws in Dick during an extremely vulnerable time and got Dick committing crimes for him!! Like!!!!!!!!
