Hello, I'm Q! This is my Creator Letter for the 2023 Trick or Treat Exchange. First, thank you for your interest! Whether you're my assigned giftor or thinking of making a treat, I appreciate you so very much :)

SUPERNATURAL

Sam Winchester

I could scream over this poor boy's journey, and I am Feral over his plotlines. Like, I will genuinely never stop being obsessed with the demon blood and Boy King and Lucifer Vessel stuff just NEVER. Sam is such an awesome character, especially early seasons Sam, 1-5 particularly. (Before the writers started to slowly separate Dean and Sam out into the Action Brother and the Smart Brother instead of them both being a good mix of those characteristics!!) I love how kind he is, how he has the ability to connect with everyone he meets, but also how ruthless he is. I mean, cutting off Gordon's head with barbed wire??? So cool! Sam is brilliant and funny, and filled with so much trauma that it almost boggles the mind. I love his self-worth issues, and his trust issues, and his daddy issues, and basically ever damn issue he has. I love his utterly fucked up childhood and his guilt over things that have nothing to do with him. And I love, as I mentioned before, his fucky plotlines!

Azazel/Sam Winchester

Azazel was so delightfully messed up. All his quips, his smiles, his fucked up paternal actions towards Sam...Love it all. Like him saying "I'll be there in a minute, Champ! But I'm proud of you; knew you had it in you." Just love that entire vibe. He felt like it was fact that Sam was his boy, and was absolutely his favorite. Man had big plans! I'm so curious about AUs involving Azazel, like what if he actually raised Sam, or didn't die in the s2 finale, or Sam's powers developed earlier, or that scene with Azazel possessing John went differently...like I just fucking love this dude and want so much more of him.

Lucifer & Sam Winchester

Lucifer/Sam is the relationship to end all relationships for me, seriously am so obsessed with them. And whether you go season 5 Lucifer (the seriousness and power he displayed, the utter control, how positive he was that Sam was his and would always be with him, that they were made for each other and Sam would come to him) or later seasons Lucifer (the sadism, the possessiveness, the slight wildness in his feelings towards Sam after all the History that was now between them, the desire to own Sam and see him hurt) it still has the same impact, which is Lucifer and Sam having a messed up and complicated connection that I enjoy to no end. And then you throw in the existence of Jack, and how goddamn jealous Lucifer was of Sam’s relationship with him??? Just added another layer of fucked up to them! Can't get enough.

Dean Winchester & Sam Winchester

Just about one of the best relationships on TV. I love these two—their insane, intense loyalty; the lengths they'll go to for each other and the world; how utterly badass and yet utterly broken they are; how unhealthy their relationship can get...All of it is just so good. These two are soulmates, have been through so much shit (both together and apart), and I could easily see them fulfilling just about any trope there is. This fandom in general really lends itself to tricks, and then you throw in all the messed up shit Sam & Dean have done and there's just so much to work with XD

Sam Winchester & Any Hunter Character(s)

Sam's relationships with hunters covers such a wide array of feelings, and it fascinates me to no end. There's Gordon, who believed Sam was the Antichrist and made it his mission to murder him (and Roy & Walt, who actually succeeded!). There's Tim & Reggie, who tried to use Sam as a living weapon. There's Elvis Katz, who looked at Sam like he was a legend to be revered. There's Ellen and Bobby, who loved Sam like family. And that's just the tip of the iceberg! So much shit to work with!!

Sam Winchester & Any Witch Character(s)

I just think Sam's dynamics with all the witch characters were so awesome, made all the cooler by Sam's witchy vibes that got bigger and bigger in the later seasons (and my thanks to Rowena for that!). Sam's powers and innate ability gave him such potential in this field that I loved getting glimpses of, and I'd be so interested in seeing whatever you create between Sam & a witch character! Rowena, the Banes twins, and so many others—go ham, find something that suits you!

CROSSOVER FANDOM

Matt Murdock (Daredevil Netflix)/Sam Winchester (SPN)

Had never considered this pairing until I saw it in the tagset and I just think it's brilliant. Matt and Sam would have so much to talk about!! There is so much fucking guilt between the pair of them, so much anger, so much drive to do the right thing despite inner (and outside, tbh) doubts about whether or not they're good. They both struggle so much with their self-worth and tend to obsess over their missions, and when they get something between their teeth they can't let it go for the life of them. Plus, religious issues and the whole lawyer thing, and a best friend/brother who is scared of and thus angry about what they're doing (being Daredevil, Sam's powers). Am kind of in love with the idea of these two coming together now 😆

DOCTOR WHO

Rose Tyler

I! Love! Rose! Tyler! So! Much! I miss her when she's not around, I have giant heart eyes when she is, and I think about her Constantly. Rose is passionate and badass and so kind, even when faced with so much pain. I shipped her and the Doctor so hard and literally sobbed at the end of season 2 when she got stuck on Pete's World. I then cried again when she AGAIN got left on the beach (though at least this time she got to kiss a Doctor). Her entire Bad Wolf thing was SO FUCKING COOL and I was cheering when she turned up as Bad Wolf/the Moment in the anniversary special. Would love anything with her, whether that's exploring her UNIT stuff on Pete's World, or an unseen adventure with the Doctor, or maybe she doesn't leave in season 2!!

The Master (Dhawan)

As soon as I met the Spy Master I fell hard and fast into a hyperfixation on him. I think he is so fascinating, and so awesome, and so absolutely batshit insane. Sacha Dhawan does such a brilliant job of conveying so much emotion in every action, adding layers to absolutely everything the Master does—and then he plays pure psycho brilliantly. Can't even describe how many times I've rewatched his scenes. It's starting to be unhealthy 😂

Any Doctor/Rose Tyler

Basically Rose/the Doctor is one of my all-time OTPs, and the fact that we only got two seasons of the two of them is a Crime. There was so much depth to them, so much love and loyalty and faith. I will never get over 10's speech in "The Satan Pit" where he says "If I believe in one thing, just one thing, I believe in her." They made each other stronger and complimented each other so well, and Rose really kept the Doctor human. I would love to see Rose with either of her Doctors, but also future ones!! Rose with 11 or 12 or 13 would be so amazing—I can never get enough of fics where Rose is in future seasons of the show/with future Doctors so if that's you're thing I'm so here for it.

This is me shoving my two favorite characters together like a little girl mashing Barbies against each other 😆 I just find it sad Rose never got to meet the Master!! How would Simm Master react to her? Or Missy? Or my main man Dhawan? What would Rose think of a villain with so much history with the Doctor? How would this interaction go? I just love Rose and the Master so much and want to see them appearing together in some fashion XD

MARVEL 616

Ben Reilly

Ben Reilly, my dear darling blorbo. I hold him gently in my hands, I protect him from harm, I wreck him and tear him apart (you know, like you do with your favs 😌). Ben is just such a cool and damaged as hell person. He is filled with identity issues and insecurity and an almost desperate need to belong, to be a hero, to be in a position to save people. He has genius-level intelligence (being a clone of Peter Parker kind of ensures that) but his emotional state is often so unstable that that genius gets used for so many others' purposes. I love his back and forth relationships with Peter and Kaine, his fucked up bond with Miles Warren, and god honestly all the relationships he has with folks are so fun.

Ben is someone who has died more than anyone in the Marvel universe (literally—Death herself told him!) and none of those deaths were pleasant. Hell, 28 of them were him being literally tortured to death by his creator! Something I really love is that when Ben has his run as a villain in The Clone Conspiracy, his reasoning behind what he's doing is his intense terror about death; he did a lot of fucked up shit in TCC, but his reasoning was the desire to be able to stop death, to never let anyone else go through what he went through, and I just think that's Neat.

Ben Reilly & Miles Warren

My boy Ben has so many mental health issues from all the shit he's been through, mainly at the hands of his 'father' Miles Warren. Miles quite literally tortured Ben to death over and over and over again simply because it had the possibility of helping him with his research, treating him like nothing more than a science experiment, but still expected Ben to be on his side. Miles used Ben (and Kaine!) so many times and felt like it was his right as their creator. Hell, for Kaine, Kaine even called Miles father and begged for him to keep him! Like hot damn, Warren could've done anything to him.

Plus, when you throw in Miles' obsession with Peter and Gwen, and how that led to him creating the clones in the first place—well lets just say that there were a hell of a lot of implications about what Miles got up to with the clones he made of the people he wished he could have. Kaine might've been an imperfect clone, but Ben and Clone Gwen were perfect mirrors, and there were more than plenty of implications about what Miles did to them...

Maxine Danger & Ben Reilly

The Beyond plotline was one of my all-time favorite things—I mean, what's not to LOVE about manipulation and memory erasing and bad guys controlling good guys? Ben was so desperate to be a hero, so desperate to belong, and Beyond knew exactly how to manipulate that. They played on each of his insecurities and watched his therapy sessions to adjust their approach to solidify their control even further, and then when he got a little too rebellious they just erased his memories to make him docile once more. Like oh my GOD how amazingly whumpy and perfect!! You gotta check out these two scenes to really grasp just how fucked up this all was: One, Two. Look at those and tell me you don't want Maxine & Beyond to utilize their control in even more fucked up ways XD

Mephisto/Ben Reilly

Ben first meets Mephisto in the mini-series Damnation, which is set in the time period of BR:SS I mentioned in Gabriel's section. Mephisto plays on all of Ben's insecurities to manipulate him into making a deal with him (and somewhere in the distance, Peter is screaming), all smooth charm and creepy smiles. And then, when Ben breaks their deal, Mephisto hunts Ben down and does his best to ruin Ben, turning all of Ben's allies against him and even getting Ben's brother Kaine to try to kill him! And when Kaine succeeds in doing so, Mephisto delightedly goes to collect Ben's soul XD So obviously, so much tasty angst here!!

Gabriel/Ben Reilly

The description of Ben & Gabriel's meeting from Gabriel's Wiki Page: "While on the search for the cure of a genetic disease afflicting a young girl named Abigail, Ben was directed to a place called the Diogenes Initiative, run by Gabriel with the mission of helping people. Gabriel approached him and revealed his nature as an Angel. He additionally revealed Ben his true form for a brief moment, causing Ben to break down in tears. After handing over a vial containing his own blood to Ben to cure Abigail, Gabriel teleported him outside the facility, and pondered that they might talk again in the future."

I fucking love this interaction, because Ben is so desperate to help Abigail and so wary to trust anyone, and he's never been a person of faith but seeing Gabriel's true form brought Ben to his knees crying. I can really see this event having an impact on Ben, especially if Gabriel were to follow through on his comment about them meeting again. Plus, at the end of the run, Gabriel observes Ben in the process of losing his mind and basically says that everything went according to plan so isn't THAT truly fucked up and ripe for fanfic.

Kaine Parker & Ben Reilly
Peter Parker & Ben Reilly

Ben, Kaine, and Peter have had such a complicated relationship, filled with betrayal and grief and brotherhood and protectiveness and just such deep bonds that no one could ever really grasp except for them. Depending on the storyline (and what any of them has currently been through, mainly Ben with his multiple resurrections) they were either allies or enemies, but still constantly called each other brothers (even during all the attempted murder). They've all been at each others' throats, all tried to do terrible things to each other (well, Ben and Kaine have tried to do terrible things to each other and to Peter, meanwhile Peter would really just like everyone to get along and stop trying to frame him for murder). This could be healthy with them coming together and finally feeling accepted, or truly fucked up with all the death and murder and obsession that often followed them so closely. All is gucci for me XD

Look, I just seriously fucking loved the Nogitsune plotline more than anything and will never get enough of Void!Stiles. That dude was out to cause as much chaos, strife, and pain as he possibly could, was already getting super freaky with Lydia, and there's not a doubt in my mind that he would've continuing fucking with everyone he could if he'd had the time. Let your freak flag fly, I give you free reign to do whatever strikes your fancy. I just fucking love season 3B wayyyyy too much and will never get enough of this dude!

Stiles Stilinski & Noshiko Yukimura

I really would've loved to see stuff between these two after season 3. Stiles was possessed by a being that Noshiko has a long history with, and a traumatic one at that. I feel like everything with the Nogitsune would've created a unique bond between the pair of them, and it simply would've been cool to see that explored. She would understand like no other what Stiles went through, and Stiles with all the Nogitsune's knowledge would have a perspective on Noshiko that no one else did, and would see her as a really valuable ally instead of just Kira's mom. Plus it would just be damn cool to see an adult on the show taking Stiles completely seriously.

THE MAGICIANS

Quentin Coldwater & The Monster
Quentin Coldwater/The Monster

It took me basically .5 seconds to become obsessed with the Monster plotline. I'm always such a fan of possession stuff, and when you mix that with villain-has-an-obsession-with-the-hero, I am absolutely sold. The Monster's fixation on Quentin was so fascinating and fun to watch, the razor-wire line Quentin had to walk, how draining it all was and how hard he was working to keep going, and I can never get enough of them. That scene where the Monster encourages Quentin to break the planes, and Quentin starts to get really into it...lives fucking rent free in my head, my dudes. Rent free. Hell, so many of their scenes live rent free in me 😂

Martin Chatwin & Quentin Coldwater
Martin Chatwin/Quentin Coldwater

Everything with the Beast and the time loop was super cool! I loved Martin's entire vibe, how psycho and glib he was, and the connection he had to Quentin because of the loops and Q's inability to sit things out is such a unique one. Like, a bond between a villain and a hero not because the hero is the "chosen one", but because the hero just refused to be on the sidelines no matter what—I just really love that. And Martin might've looked down on Quentin, but he also looked for him, too (like the way he said "There you are" in that "first" meeting), which is tasty as all hell.

Quentin Coldwater/Reynard the Fox

The scene in 2x09 where Julia hands Quentin over to Reynard is one that makes all kinds of fireworks go off in my head. Like, can you imagine how much worse that could've gone for Q?? Reynard had him isolated, and if John hadn't arrived in time he would've snapped Q's neck in an attempt to get at Julia. And my darkfic loving brain can't help but picture an AU where Reynard had time to hurt Q a lot more before John arrived to stop his father. Or really any AU of this you like! Maybe Q's the one who gets assaulted instead of Julia, or any other potential path. I'd just love to see the pair of them explored

Reynard the Fox/Julia Wicker

Ok I unapologetically enjoyed the dynamic between Reynard and Julia because I am a darkfic lover at heart and this was gold for that. Reynard was so sadistic and smug and dramatic, which I love in a villain, and watching Julia's revenge arc was *chef's kiss*. Don't have a lot to say here other then yummy yummy Dead Dove shit 😆

Malcolm Bright & Martin Whitly
Malcolm Bright/Martin Whitly

The trend of "damaged law enforcement agent & the psycho obsessed with them" is a dynamic I can never get enough of, and when you make it father and son??? The dynamic between Malcolm and Martin is so fucking brilliant, both actors doing an amazing job to depict such a complicated and fucked up bond. Malcolm is openly unstable, barely bothering to hide just how much everything his father did fucked him up, and Martin is so delighted to have his claws in deep in Malcom's brain. There's a genuine love there for sure, as much as Martin is capable of it, but it's so wrapped up in possessiveness and obsession that it only makes it worse. Would love anything with these two, whether you wanna take Malcolm down his father's dark rabbit hole or write about him trying to escape it instead, everything would be fun.

Barry Allen/Eobard Thawne | Harrison Wells

A ship that so perfectly hits so many things I love! Manipulation, obsession, corruption, mentorship, hero and villain forever cycling each other, rage, hatred, time travel—everything about this ship is fucked up and delicious. Eobard literally destroyed Barry's entire life, and then came to him under the guise of a mentor and pretended to care about him, did everything he could to bring Barry under his wing, all with the goal of furthering his own agenda and eventually killing Barry. His entire vibe towards Barry was so tasty, and I will never get over Grant Gustin's acting post-Thawne reveal. Like when Barry travels to the past and pretends to be his past self, and has that conversation with Eobard in the time chamber? Oh my god, the hatred in his eyes...It was so badass.
